How To Outsmart Your Boss On Greenpower Mobility

Greenpower Mobility - All-Energy Medium and Heavy-Duty Vehicles

Greenpower creates and builds, as well as distributes a full suite of high-floor and low-floor all-electric medium and heavy-duty vehicles. This includes transit buses, school cargo buses, buses for cargo and shuttles.

go green mobility scooters  is a highly customizable, zero-emission vehicle that's fully FTA certified, Altoona tested and Buy America certified. It has a class-leading range and ADA wheelchair accessibility. It also has cargo delivery setups.

EV Star

GreenPower Motor Company produces a full suite of high-floor and low-floor all-electric medium and heavy-duty vehicles. Their flagship vehicle is the EV Star Cab & Chassis platform, which can be used to accommodate a variety of bodies and upfits for a variety of applications. The design of the platform is based on a clear sheet of paper, which allows for optimal positioning of the battery pack and a lower center-of-gravity. This results in higher range/payload ratios.

The EV Star REEFERX was designed for mid-to last mile refrigerated deliveries and catering applications. The refrigerated trucks of class 4' one interior wall structure, and higher insulation than traditional trucks, allow for seamless sanitation and better temperature control. They also have a longer lifespan. The EV Star REEFERX has a higher capacity for cargo, and an industry-leading payload to range for zero-emission transport of passengers or goods.

GreenPower partnered with Perrone Robotics in order to equip the EV Star with TONY (To navigate you) autonomous vehicle systems, which will enable fleets to easily move to autonomous vehicles. The AV Star will also be capable of wireless charging at 75 kW.

We were allowed to test drive the EV9 on the local highway for a few hours, and found it to be easy to drive and comfortable to drive for long distances. The ride is smooth and smooth over ruts and bumps, while the EV9 does a great job of reducing wind and road noise on the highway. The acceleration is quite quick, and the car comes with adjustable regenerative braking to enable "one pedal driving" by simply taking off the accelerator.

The EV9 provides a large range and can be charged within three hours or less at home, or by using any commercial charger. The driver can select from two operating modes - eco mode and sport mode. The eco mode prioritizes the torque and cruise control while the sport mode maximizes speed and handling. Both modes are fun to drive, and offer a unique experience for those who haven't been in a vehicle with an electrical system before.

GreenPower offers a variety of other electric vehicles which include a multi-purpose electric minibus dubbed the EV Star. The EV Star is ADA compliant and can be used as an executive shuttle, micro-transit or transit bus, vanpool or paratransit vehicle.

GreenPower is currently producing around 10 EV Star buses per month for the Jacksonville Transit Authority, which is working to replace their fleet of diesel vehicles with 100 fully electric vehicles. With the Biden Administration planning to electrify school buses across the country, GreenPower plans on ramping production to meet demand. Their EV Star buses are the first of their kind to be Altoona tested and FMVSS certified. They are Buy America compliant, and ADA conforming. This means that they are eligible for federal assistance in transit. We will be following the AV Star as it begins its demonstration tour later this year. We will give more details about this EV that is truly innovative!
